Malaga, inhabited since ancient times, is today an inheritance of Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans and Arabs that left as a legacy an important cultural patrimony that the visitor will be able to see it reflected in its streets, squares and sights.

At the same time, you will feel its cosmopolitan character which evidences in the chronicles of travellers of all times, which didn't hesitate to stand out the light, beauty, climate and flavour of this lovely andalusian city.

On the arrival to the port of Malaga, one of the most important ones in Spain and after the presentation and welcome of our escort guide, the passengers will get on the bus which will be waiting for them in order to begin the sightseeing tour

Once the sightseeing tour starts, we will leave the port, which in ancient times traded with the most important coastal cities in the Mediterranean. After this, we will see the Paseo del Parque, a magnificent tropical garden with over one hundred years of history where, around it, there are beautiful buildings such as the Bank of Spain, the Aduana, the City Hall etc., until the Paseo de la Farola, where there are located some offices of public bodies and the genuine Farola, which is 33 meters high and a symbol of the city.

Following that, and after seeing one of the most popular beaches in the city, we will arrive to Plaza de Toros, which was constructed in 1874 in neo-mudéjar style, hosting the Museo Taurino, which offers the visitor a broad overview around the world of bulls.

Moving along the avenue where the most beautiful stately homes are situated, we will go up to Mount Gibralfaro, on which the castle stands, visiting what was the old Arab fortress and where we will have the privilege to admire magnificent views of the entire city.

We proceed our route through the different streets and neighbourhoods, we will see the outside of La Basílica y Real Santuario Virgen de la Victoria, patroness of the city, La Plaza de la Merced, the place where the birth home of the notorious Malaga painter, Pablo Ruiz Picasso is situated, until we reach the area where we will start our walking route.

Comfortably in a lift, we will go up to the Arab Alcazaba, surrounded by andalusian gardens which decorated and protected the different palatial rooms; descending through courtyards, fountains, passages and walled enclosures, we will arrive to the heart of the city, where the Roman Theatre is located dating from the era of Augusto, I century; entering the old neighbourhood, the oldest church of Málaga is situated, built on the site of a mosque and where in 1881 Picasso was baptised. Next to this and in a beautiful ancestral home, we will discover the emblematic "Bodegas el Pimpi", place of typical greatness and charm where will have a brief stop.

Going through the old jewry, where the Picasso Museum and the church-convent de San Agustin is located, we arrive to the Cathedral, truly historic-artistic jewel of the city. After the visit, and from the square El Obispo where the Arzobispal palace is situated with a beautiful baroque front, we will enter through one of the most traditional streets, Pasaje de Chinitas, packed with history and centennial taverns which open to the colourful Plaza de la Constitución, neuralgic centre of the city.

We will then return to the Port of Malaga so you can re-join your ship for onward passage to your next port of call.

We trust you had a wonderful day with us and we shall look forward to seeing you again soon.

Bon Voyage!!
