Our guide / coordinator will meet you at the Port of Murmansk with a Shore2Shore Excursions sign.
We will take a panoramic tour on board our coach to the port city, militar base of the Russian Northern Fleet and where part of the sail stands as a memorial to all Russian and Soviet submariners fallen throughout history and includes the tour of the famous nuclear icebreaker Lenin.
Then we will visit the symbolic lighthouse, a monument dedicated to atomic submarine Kursk (sunk on August 12th, 2008). Later, we will visit the Salvador Church on Water dedicated to the memory of sailors who died in peacetime.
Passing along Lake Semenovskoe, we will visit the Alyosha Monument built in honor of the Soviet Army that liberated the country during World War II. At the base of the monument made of cement, there are scenes of battles Soviet soldiers.
To the 23 meters base stands a column and at its summit a 12 meters high statue of soldier Alyosha with his left hand raised to the sky. From here opens a magnificent view of the city and its ports. This beautiful view is an excellent opportunity to take good photos.
