Our Shore2Shore Excursions guide will meet you at the Port of Palermo where we board an air-conditioned coach to take a guided tour to Palermo.

A drive in the city through via Libertà (considered the most important street in the city for its size, for the elegance of its shops and the double row of plane trees along its sides), Teatro Politeama (the main theatre of the town built in XIX Century), via Ruggero Settimo (named after the admiral and senator Ruggero Settimo, it is known as the salon of Palermo because of the elegance of its shops), Teatro Massimo (Palermo Opera house built at the end of the XIX century in a neoclassical taste), via Maqueda, will show passengers the beauty of such an historical and elegant town.

Then the panoramic tour will proceed to admire Palazzo Reale, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Piazza Marina (a big square surrounded by edifices of unquestioned beauty which are rich in historical and artistic interest).

The drive will continue to Quattro Canti ( the intersection of the original 4 streets of Palermo - the Four Corners where: fours statues symbolizing the four seasons, four statues depicting the Spanish Kings and at the highest level four female statues representing the four patron saints of the town) and for the Cathedral outside visit the Cathedral (it is the tangible result of the blending of Muslim craftsmen and Christian minds together with centuries of history and culture).

An internal visit will be paid at the Catacombe dei Cappuccini, an historical curiosity of the past where it is possible still nowadays to see the 8.000 mummified corps of monks, nobles and commoners still with their dresses dating back to the XVIth century.

Thereafter the tour will proceed to the Zisa Castle, a wonderful example of Arab architecture, that used to be the hunting residence of the Norman Kings. An internal visit will let you see the hunting life of the Norman Kings.

We will then return to the Port of Palermo so you can re-join your ship for onward passage to your next port of call.

We trust you had a wonderful day with us and we shall look forward to seeing you again soon.

Bon Voyage!!
