  • Duration 8h
  • Activity level low

What you'll do

The coach and our guide will meet you at the port of Greenock.

Route to the medieval city of Stirling to visit the beautiful Castle located on a hill from where people will enjoy breathtaking views towards Stirling and the surroundings.

Stirling Castle, along with Edinburgh Castle, is one of the largest and most important castles in Scotland, both historically and architecturally.

Before its union with England it was also one of the most used Scottish royal residences. Several Scottish kings and queens have been crowned in Stirling, including Mary, Queen of Scotland, in 1542.

Our day will continue in Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland, with a bus sightseeing in the center of the town.

We will see the University, the Kelvingrove Museum and the Art Gallery, ending in the rectangular square of George Square where are some historic buildings such as the City Chambre and famous statues, such as the Queen Victoria of Walter Scott, Prince Albert by James Watt or those of Robert Burns and Thomas Graham.

Free time for lunch and for some shopping. Next to George Square is Buchanan Street, a shopping street where you can find different types of shops and cafes. This is the largest pedestrian street in the city. Close to George Square is the Royal Exchange Square and its gallery of modern art (GOMA) whose entry is free.

Our tour will end with the visit (interior) of the spectacular Glasgow Gothic Cathedral (free admission). This is the only cathedral in Scotland (except the Orkney Islands) that survived the Reformation.

Return to Greenock port for boarding.
